JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Johnson City, Tennessee Facility: Franklin Woods Community Hospital Health System: SCP Health - Locums Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 Ongoing Number of Positions: 1 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 24,000 annual volume FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 80 hospital beds EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: 22 hours of APP coverage daily PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), ABFM, ABIM, American Board of Physician Specialties, or American Osteopathic Association (DO) Licenses: Active unrestricted TN Medical license DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address (schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5) Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (NRP required for Non-ABEM providers) Experience: Residency trained (3 years); new graduates within the past 12 months considered Other Qualifications: Documentation of MMR/Varicella immunity, Two-Step TB Test, Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME, and case logs for the last two years DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care for an annual volume of 24,000 patients Collaborate within a coverage model of 24 hours physician and 22 hours APP coverage Serve as the supervising physician for NPs and PAs Maintain accurate medical records within the Epic EMR system
