Opportunity Highlights Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity Annual ED volume: 24,000 80-bed acute care hospital setting Coverage model: 24 hours physician coverage plus 22 hours APP coverage EMR: Epic New Emergency Medicine residency graduates within the past 12 months considered Strong APP support and defined emergency department structure Schedule Details Start: ASAP - Ongoing Emergency department shift coverage Physician coverage: 24 hours daily APP coverage: 22 hours daily Additional schedule details to be discussed during presentation Practice Environment This opportunity is based within an established acute care hospital emergency department in Johnson City, Tennessee. The department supports a 24,000 annual visit volume with daily physician coverage and robust APP support. Providers will work in Epic and manage the full range of emergency medicine presentations in a community hospital environment. Clinical Scope Emergency department evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition Management of acute medical, traumatic, and procedural presentations Collaboration with APPs, nursing, consultants, and hospital-based support teams Admissions, transfers, and discharge coordination as clinically appropriate Documentation and order entry within Epic Candidate Requirements MD or DO degree Graduate of an accredited four-year medical school or accredited osteopathic medical school Completion of three-year residency training ECFMG certification required for foreign medical graduates Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license Active DEA with Tennessee address DEA schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, American Board of Physician Specialties, or American Osteopathic Association ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine NRP required for non-ABEM providers Recent or ongoing Emergency Medicine experience required for non-EM boarded providers Why Providers Move on This Opportunity This Johnson City emergency medicine opportunity offers steady volume, strong APP coverage, Epic EMR, and the ability to work in a structured community hospital environment.
