Job Title: Assembler Job Description

In this position, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, or electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems according to work instructions. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to perform precise assembly work, install components, wiring, fasteners, or casings using bolts, rivets, soldering, or micro-welding techniques. You will also clean parts and finished assemblies using approved cleaning methods and materials, inspect work to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications, and maintain production equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, or electronic components and subassemblies.

• Use hand and power tools for precise assembly work.

• Install components using bolts, rivets, soldering, or micro-welding techniques.

• Clean parts and finished assemblies with approved methods.

• Inspect work for quality and conformance to specifications.

• Maintain production equipment and a clean work area.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED.

• Experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronic assembly in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, or assembly documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, painting, electrical testing, and mechanical assembly.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled, with exposure to varying temperatures. This position involves medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently. Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy. The work environment is dynamic, with global operations providing numerous career opportunities and impact. Shift options include 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm and 3rd shift from 7 pm to 5:30 am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millington, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
