Associate or Full Professor without tenure. Division Head Pediatric Dermatology - UW Medicine

Overview The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to serve as Division Head of Pediatric Dermatology, with an anticipated start date of September 2026. Salary: $37,226 - $54,678 per month ($446,712 - $656,136 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The range includes base salary through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan and the University. Other compensation may include incentive through CUMG practice plan. Compensation provided by CUMG may provide eligibility for separate benefits; additional benefits may be available at Full‑time appointment on a continuous twelve‑month academic basis. Primary Duties of the Division Head Provide guidance and leadership for the Division of Dermatology Lead faculty development, recruitment and retention Conduct annual faculty review meetings and provide progress reports Support faculty promotion and re‑appointment, including preparation of letters Oversee clinical care, including faculty deployment across all clinical sites Advocate for adequate clinical support staff Attend weekly clinical operations meetings Oversee division finances, including budget review, salary negotiation and adjustments, incentive plans, and faculty development funds Lead monthly division meetings and monthly clinical care conferences Attend biweekly department leadership meetings and quarterly retreats Oversee education Appointment and supervision of fellowship program director Engage with dermatology residency program director to ensure appropriate training of dermatology residents Review deployment of trainees including fellows, residents, and medical students Promote scholarship and quality improvement within the division Foster engagement, team building, and reputation building This position provides an opportunity to work at the Clinical & Translational Research Center (CTR) at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Qualifications MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Dermatology (or foreign equivalent) Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington Foreign graduates must have successfully completed all three steps of the USMLE or an equivalent examination as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to be eligible for university sponsorship for an H‑1B visa.
