Salary: $90-110K
Location: Tri-county area 

National Shell is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations for shell construction projects from foundation through roof completion.

This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining the project schedule, monitoring quality and safety, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with plans and specifications.

The Construction Superintendent reports directly to the Project Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all field activities from foundation through roof in accordance with construction plans and specifications.
• Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners.
• Partner with the Project Manager to plan and execute work according to the project schedule.
• Develop and maintain 2-week look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and communicate field issues quickly.
• Complete daily project reports, including progress photos.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.
• Identify conflicts or missing information and submit RFIs for review.
• Perform ongoing quality-control checks to ensure work meets project requirements.
• Maintain and enforce project safety standards and the site-specific safety plan.
• Coordinate jobsite mobilization and demobilization.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe jobsite.
• Operate equipment as needed, including lull/telehandler, excavator, Bobcat, and man lift.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of shell construction experience required.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction from foundation through structural completion.
• Strong knowledge of shell construction materials, including:
  • Concrete
  • CMU/block
  • Rebar
  • Lumber
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field operations.
• Working knowledge of PlanSwift preferred.
• Understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and processes.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and priorities while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety standards.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver’s license
• OSHA 30 certification
• Forklift certification
• First Aid/CPR certification

You communicate clearly, hold subcontractors accountable, anticipate issues before they become delays, and take ownership of the jobsite from start to finish.
