An established building automation and systems integration company is growing its Denver team and looking for a Controls Sales Engineer to help build on an already successful operation.

\n

\n

This is an opportunity for an experienced controls salesperson to step into an established market with existing customers, strong relationships and real project opportunities already in motion.

\n

\n

You won't be asked to recreate the wheel.

\n

\n

The Denver team has an established customer base, strong backlog and the infrastructure to support continued growth. Their work includes some of the region's most complex facilities, including laboratories, data centers, manufacturing, higher education and stadiums.

\n

\n

The opportunity now is to add another strong salesperson to a team that already has the customers, projects and infrastructure in place to support success.

\n

THE ROLE

\n

\n

As a Controls Sales Engineer, you'll work with customers to understand their needs and develop HVAC controls and building automation solutions for complex facilities.

\n

\n

You'll be involved in:

\n

\n

• Developing new business and expanding existing relationships

\n

• Reviewing construction documents, plans and specifications

\n

• Developing technical proposals and estimates

\n

• Presenting solutions to customers and stakeholders

\n

• Owning opportunities from initial conversation through close

\n

• Working closely with project managers, technicians and programmers

\n

• Staying involved with customers through project execution and change orders

\n

• Identifying additional opportunities within existing accounts

\n

\n

This is technical sales — not transactional sales.

\n

\n

You don't need to be a controls programmer, but you should understand the HVAC/mechanical environment you're selling into and be comfortable talking with sophisticated customers, engineers and mechanical contractors.

\n

\n

Experience with HVAC controls, BAS, building automation, Tridium Niagara or Schneider Electric is highly valued.

\n

\n

You may come from a background such as:

\n

\n

• Controls Sales Engineer

\n

• Building Automation Sales

\n

• BAS Account Management

\n

• HVAC Controls Sales

\n

• Mechanical/HVAC Sales with strong controls exposure

\n

• Controls Project Management or Estimating

\n

\n

A Mechanical, Electrical, Construction or related engineering degree is preferred, but relevant experience is equally important.

\n

\n

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

\n

\n

The compensation package is designed around the experience and production of the individual we hire.

\n

\n

• Target base of approximately $110K–$120K

\n

• Guaranteed first-year commission structure of approximately $60K–$65K for the right candidate

\n

• 10% commission on gross margin

\n

• Opportunity to exceed the guaranteed commission based on performance

\n

• Strong producers can reach $200K+ in total earnings

\n

\n
