We are seeking a Product Owner (PO) to support the build-out of a sales experience for a new Personal Lines Auto insurance product. This individual will be one of several Distribution-aligned Product Owners responsible for creating, elaborating, and delivering an Auto insurance backlog for a sales flow embedded within existing quoting applications. The experience will support both internal call center agents and external Independent Agents. This role is part of the Frontier initiative and serves as a critical enabler for the OneAuto product release planned for 2027. An aligned engineering team will support this Product Owner's portion of the shared OneAuto backlog. The role reports to the Director, Product Owner of the I Buy / I Sell Insurance Professional – Direct & Frontier portfolio.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience managing large-scale, multi-year modernization initiatives
• Deep knowledge of Personal Lines Auto Insurance
• Working knowledge of Direct and Independent Agent distribution channels
• Strong product ownership mindset and experience applying product best practices across Agile teams
• Proficiency with Jira and Agile methodologies
• Proven success leveraging user-centered design thinking and data-driven decision-making
• Ability to collaborate across Experience Design, Distribution, Insurance Product, and Engineering teams
• Strong skills in clarifying and elaborating complex, evolving requirements into front-end experiences
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams

Product Owner Responsibilities: As a member of the Agile team, the Product Owner represents both the voice of the customer and the organization through the delivery of business value. The PO works closely with business and technology stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver features and user stories aligned to customer needs and organizational goals. This role requires deep understanding of customer problems, strong backlog ownership, and continuous collaboration with stakeholders to maximize business value delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision and align strategic priorities
• Contribute to portfolio vision and communicate priorities to Agile teams
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear and actionable user stories
• Participate in quarterly planning and sprint ceremonies
• Set stakeholder expectations around delivery timelines and capabilities
• Work daily with Agile teams to clarify requirements and remove blockers
• Align business and technology priorities with leadership teams
• Monitor product health and balance short- and long-term product goals
• Analyze feasibility, cost of delay, and business impact of proposed changes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry constraints
• Contribute to product roadmaps and portfolio planning efforts
• Communicate expected business value for each iteration and release
• Lead customer-driven design and usability testing efforts
• Support innovation and experimentation in uncertain environments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field
• 3–5 years of direct experience working with Agile teams
• 7+ years of experience in business, technology, or consulting environments
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and IT project management
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions in fast-paced environments
• Proven problem-solving and team leadership abilities
• Insurance industry experience preferred
• Experience with relevant products and portfolios preferred
• Strong experimental and innovation mindset
