Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for an HSE Consultant to support a client site in New Albany, OH . This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an early-career EHS professional, safety technician, or operations professional looking to grow their career in environmental health and safety while gaining experience in a client-facing environment. This role will support day-to-day EHS programs, compliance initiatives, and safety-related activities while partnering closely with client teams to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

Assist with the administration and execution of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives
Support compliance efforts by helping identify programs that meet regulatory requirements and client needs
Maintain safety procedures, plans, playbooks, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
Serve as a resource for employees and internal teams regarding safety policies and best practices
Perform task-based safety support activities, inspections, audits, and documentation reviews
Assist with incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
Monitor workplace conditions and identify opportunities to improve safety performance and operational efficiency
Support training initiatives and help promote a strong culture of safety throughout the site
Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams on safety-related projects and initiatives
Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation
Participate in special projects and additional EHS-related responsibilities as assigned

Must Have Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Interest in Environmental Health & Safety, occupational safety, compliance, facilities, manufacturing, construction, or related fields
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage task-based work and follow established processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working directly with clients and internal stakeholders
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Certifications as required by local government

Nice to Have Qualifications:

Previous experience in EHS, facilities, manufacturing, construction, engineering, operations, or technical support roles
Safety certifications or related coursework
Experience conducting inspections, audits, or compliance-related activities
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs
Experience working in a client-facing environment
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
