Job Description The Branch Office Manager will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects and staff to provide all deliverables as part of a collaborative team. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies – municipal, county and state. Duties & Responsibilities Manage the production of quality highway/roadway design plans that meet client expectations and adhere to project budgets and schedules Manage detailed schedules, work plans, and day-to-day operations of the office Work collaboratively with both internal and external team members including other design disciplines Provide consistent project updates regarding strategy and progress to various stakeholders Supervise and mentor engineers, CAD staff, and junior team members, as well as delegate tasks for project assignments, while proactively managing multiple concurrent projects under pressure and tight deadlines Responsible for client/customer satisfaction and technical project execution Participate in business development tasks including project pursuits, project proposal preparation and client presentation Perform other job duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university required Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Illinois required 15+ years of experience in civil/highway design projects for state DOT, County, City and/or other municipal clients Expert knowledge of IDOT plan development guidelines and standards 3+ years of successful project management experience on transportation projects Experience with developing, negotiating and reviewing design fee proposals and contracts Experience in coordinating and collaborating with specialty discipline leads (Traffic, Hydraulics, Structures) and with subconsultants and training staff-level engineers Familiarity with procedures, methodologies, and standards including but limited to the HCM, MUTCD, AASHTO, US Access Board guidelines Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD) within IDOT and other agency CADD environments Proficiency with Excel and other general office software Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and organizational skills Physical Qualifications Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods Visual focus for electronic documents and design software Sufficient mobility to move to various locations in and out of the office to use various office equipment, coordinate with other staff, visit other EFK Moen and client offices/meeting locations EFK Moen offers Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Company Holidays Paid Parental Leave Health, Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Contribution Company sponsored Short and Long-Term disability coverage Company sponsored life insurance coverage Professional License exam fee reimbursement Bonus opportunities Support of professional organization membership and activities Work-life balance through a flexible, casual work environment A culture of mentoring and teamwork Starting Salary Range $160,000-200,000 Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
