SHIFT: M-F, 8a-5p (some flexibility may be available) This position may be filled as a Professional Billing Specialist I or II depending on individual experience, education, certification(s), and business need. ***Ideal candidate will have experience with follow-up and denials.**** General Description Entrylevel professional billing role responsible foraccurateclaim submission and routine followup using established workflows in an academic medical environment. Essential Job Duties Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Prepare andsubmitprofessional claims; correct routineclaimerrors and rejections. Work assigned billing and followup queues in Epic. Apply foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD10CM, modifiers, and payer rules. Meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards. General Job Duties Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements (Level 1): Education : High School Diploma or GED required. Experience : At least 1 year of Medical Insurance experience. Certification/License/Registration : None required. Minimum Requirements (Level 2): Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
