*Job Overview*

*Boardman Clark* seeks an attorney with experience in litigation, ideally in insurance defense, municipal representation, worker’s compensation, and/or commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in handling cases before state and/or federal courts, with jury trial experience as a plus. This is a great opportunity for a qualified candidate with litigation experience and interpersonal skills to step into a thriving practice. This role is hybrid with the expectation of being in-office 3 days per week.

*Primary Responsibilities and Duties*

* Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate work.
* Draft pleadings and written discovery, brief and argue motions, conduct depositions, and appear in state and federal court before both judges and juries.
* Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
* Communicate with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns and advise them.
* Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
* Build relationships with clients based on trust.
* Stay informed about current legislation, especially concerning legal specialties.
* Find ethical solutions to legal matters.

*Attorney Qualifications*

* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Active and in good standing with the state bar association.
* 2+ years of experience representing clients in litigation cases before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, with jury trial experience preferred.
* Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies.
* Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
* Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate verbally and in writing effectively.
* Adaptability and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
* Ability to work collaboratively with other legal professionals and support staff.
