Engineering Manager

Position Overview Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales & Operations, the Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering design function, manage customer-driven projects, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership experience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external customers. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of design engineers, fostering technical growth and strong team collaboration Oversee the full engineering design lifecycle, including processes, standards, and best practices to support high-quality and manufacturable designs Serve as the primary technical liaison for customer engineering teams, supporting design reviews, technical discussions, and issue resolution Drive innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions that improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth production transition Promote a continuous improvement culture focused on problem-solving, efficiency, and operational excellence Manage engineering priorities, project timelines, and technical deliverables across multiple initiatives Qualifications 5–8+ years of experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in an engineering leadership capacity Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex product development projects Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product design, and engineering best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact directly with customers Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic oversight and day-to-day technical involvement Preferred Background Experience coming from a larger manufacturing organization with the ability to thrive in a smaller, fast-paced environment Business-minded engineer with strong customer-facing capabilities and technical problem-solving skills This is a fully onsite opportunity located in Frederick, MD. #J-18808-Ljbffr
