Job Summary and Qualifications

The Coordinator Surgical Services Support employee supports procedural scheduling operations across areas requiring anesthesia by providing administrative and operational support. This position assists with scheduling workflows, supports communication between physician offices and hospital departments, and facilitates accurate case coordination. In this role, some of your duties are as follows:

• Assists with procedural scheduling activities, including data entry and documentation support
• Assists with communication between physician offices, anesthesia services, and hospital departments related to scheduling
• Identifies scheduling issues or access barriers and reports findings to leadership for review
• Assists physician offices with scheduling-related information and documentation requirements
• Assists with routine service recovery efforts and refers unresolved concerns to leadership
• Assists with coordination of anesthesia scheduling needs with appropriate teams
• Supports vendor representative and dependent healthcare professional documentation and verification processes
• Assists with coordination of qualified observer processes for procedural areas
• Assists with communication and follow-up documentation related to medical record suspension notices
• Orders office supplies and submits Print Center requests as needed
• Assists leadership with performance improvement initiatives by gathering data and supporting coordination efforts
• Assists with identifying insurance verification or authorization issues and notifying appropriate departments

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical terminology knowledge required
• 3-5 years of experience in surgical or procedural scheduling in a hospital, ASC, or procedural services environment required
