The HR Clerk is responsible for processing day to day HR tasks. Supports HR Team with miscellaneous functions and provides HR services to employees. This position is the first point of contact for employee issues within the assigned functional areas. The functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to payroll questions, time/attendance, onboarding file management and various clerical duties as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities: Initial point of contact between employees and Human ResourcesAdministration and tracking of employee attendance point systemServe as back-up to answer Payroll questionsEnter required data into Workday (HRIS) systemClerical duties: maintain department filing system, log HR requests, create and translate memos and postings, sort and distribute mail and faxes, maintain HR expense budget and order office suppliesCreate employee badgesSupport New Hire OrientationSupport special projects as neededMaintain HR communication boardsPerform other duties as assignedPosition Skills & Qualifications DesiredBasic computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point)Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)Position Experience QualificationsPrevious experience processing payrollExperience working in a manufacturing environmentWorkday experienceExperience within a Human Resources environment a plusMinimum of one-year clerical experiencePosition Education & Training PreferredHigh School diplomaOther Information:The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed, as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
