Step into a meaningful contract role providing educationally focused physical therapy services to students in a dynamic school environment near Joliet, IL. This short-term assignment runs from mid-August to early November and primarily involves working onsite with mixed grade levels, with a strong emphasis on transition-aged students (ages 20–22). As part of this engaging environment, you'll support special education students with gross motor skill development and functional mobility to enhance their participation in school activities.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
• Pediatric physical therapy experience
• Previous experience in a school setting required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver educationally relevant physical therapy services to special education students, focusing on developing or compensating for deficits in gross motor abilities
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions appropriate to each student’s needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to promote students’ physical participation in school programs
• Maintain documentation in accordance with school and state protocols
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and the educational team to ensure follow-through of interventions
