Assistant Professor (Political Science)

Position Overview The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in international and global affairs. Qualifications Ph.D. in political science, with a specialty in either international relations or comparative politics. A strong commitment to producing rigorous social‑scientific research. Excellent teaching skills. A demonstrable interest in engagement with the world of practice. Scope and Expectations Eligible for appointment as Assistant or Untenured Associate Professor. Expected to contribute to teaching in the Harvard Kennedy School’s core curriculum for students in the Master of Public Policy program. Open in subject matter, with particular interest in empirically‑sophisticated political scientists focusing on interstate conflict, human rights, migration and refugee policy, environmental politics, and nuclear weapons politics.
