As a part-time Mathnasium instructor, you will be trained on the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods. Math skills in the following areas are desirable but not required: Algebra 1, & 2, Geometry, Algebra 3, Trigonometry, & Pre-Calculus. Our instructors experience daily the impact they make. Mathnasium provides for success by finding the right starting point (through diagnostic testing) and building a child's confidence and self–esteem through an individualized lesson plan. This is a part-time position varying from about 6 to 25 hrs per week, depending on the programs you are able to instruct and your availability. Flexible work hours are in afternoons and evenings Monday through Thursday ~3:30pm to 7:30pm; Sunday 12pm – 4pm.

Qualifications:

• Enthusiasm for mathematics • A passion for working with students • Mathematics competency through at least Algebra II • Good social and communication skills • College level mathematics or classroom education course work • Willingness to learn the Mathnasium teaching methods

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students
• Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
• Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
• Teach in-center, using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices

Mathnasium provides supplementary math instruction to students in grades 2-12. Mathnasium prepares the curriculum and materials. Following hiring, the new team member is required to complete training in the Mathnasium Method™. This is a part-time role with flexible hours. Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.
