The Clinical Case Manager’s goal is to achieve family stabilization and equip families with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to utilize and access medical, legal, mental health, educational, and community resources essential for adjustment and integration into the United States. The main objective is for families to become self‑efficient and independent. The Clinical Case Manager will handle three cases at a time with weekly in‑person visits during the first two months of a case, followed by monthly visits for the remaining four months. Each case spans six months. Frequent local travel is required with occasional national travel. Duties and Responsibilities Provide weekly home visits to achieve family stabilization. Assess safety, appropriateness of placement, and sponsor’s fit as caretaker. Conduct comprehensive age‑appropriate assessments to verify basic needs and provide tools and resources for families to thrive in their community. Provide ongoing case management and conduct ongoing assessment of needs in areas such as placement, safety, education, health, mental health, legal/immigration, substance use, independent living, juvenile/criminal justice, and enrichment activities. Provide trauma‑informed crisis interventions directly or connect family to third‑party resources to ensure safety and well‑being. Demonstrate commitment to the Sanctuary model and organizational policies. Participate in staff development, in‑services, and training related to workplace effectiveness; model professional behaviors and improve business practices with trauma‑informed awareness. Competencies Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, in English and Spanish. Apply federal and state laws. Administer policies, procedures, and programs. Interpret information, use critical thinking, and explain concepts. Maintain effective working relationships at all agency levels and with the public. Define and resolve moderately complex problems. Hold self and others accountable to individuals within Morrison, clients, and community stakeholders. Required Position Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other behavioral science with direct clinical experience required; OR Bachelor's degree with at least five years of clinical experience. Licensed or eligible for licensure. Bi‑lingual in Spanish and English (written, read, and verbal); must pass a Spanish proficiency test. Experience working with immigrant populations. Minimum age 21 at first day of employment. We consider education, training, experience, and demonstrated skills. Exceptions to the minimum qualifications require ORR’s explicit written approval and may require supervision plans and additional training. Preferred Position Qualifications Knowledge of family preservation, kinship care, and/or child welfare. Experience writing thorough assessment reports. ORR experience. Knowledge of federal, state, and agency regulations. Understanding of adolescent developmental issues, trauma, abuse, neglect, substance abuse, delinquency, peer influence, and related interventions. Other Requirements Pass a criminal history background check through Morrison and a suitability determination investigation through the U.S. Office of Personnel Management ( Regular travel by car and/or airplane to visit sponsors and clients; national travel may be required. Travel accounts for 50% of the role. Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain minimum auto insurance for personal vehicle use. Complete 40 hours of required training per year. Working Conditions Environment: Work occurs in clinical offices, community settings, Morrison Residential, administration buildings, public locations, and social service sites. Breaks and meals may be interrupted. Universal precautions and alertness to violent behavior, disease exposure, biohazards, noise, and contaminants are critical. Mental demands: Work may involve unpredictable and new circumstances requiring flexible time management. Physical demands: Ability to remain calm and emotionally available when serving traumatized youth, adults, and families. Proficiency with office equipment, physical movement, and potential physical interventions as per training. Dexterity for reaching, stooping, and repetitive wrist and hand motions. All Morrison programs and services are accredited by The Joint Commission and certified as a trauma‑informed organization by the Sanctuary Institute.
