EKG TechnicianThe EKG Technician is responsible for supporting the Cardiopulmonary Department. S/he performs EKG testing and various clerical functions.Essential FunctionsPerforms EKG testing.Provides ongoing Pyramis system training to physicians and caregivers.Answers the phone, and performs various clerical functions.Orders supplies and stocks cardiopulmonary supplies.Performs oxygen rounds.Set-up Holter monitors and stress tests.Other tasks assignedEducation & Training RequirementsMust be a high school graduate or have a GED.AHA BLSSuccessfully completed a three month training program in the cardiopulmonary department.Work Experience RequirementsPrevious experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.Note: Job description available upon request**All required documents must be presented at time of hire**External applicant: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
