Job Title

RN – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Location

Decatur, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shifts | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness during recovery
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, including pain management and anti-emetics
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and receiving unit staff
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia or a compact state license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Prior experience in a PACU or post-anesthesia care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with a high-volume surgical environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) certification
