Process Maintenance Technician

At our growing Frederick, Colorado site, we are expanding our manufacturing capabilities to support next-generation oligonucleotide (DNA/RNA) therapeutics —critical components in modern medicine.The RoleThis role is part of the Engineering Maintenance team supporting a GMP manufacturing facility currently in an active expansion phase. Initially, the position will support equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities. As the site transitions into commercial production, the role will evolve into ongoing manufacturing support.You will maintain and troubleshoot process equipment used in the manufacture of oligonucleotides, working closely with engineers, operators, and other maintenance technicians in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform planned and unplanned maintenance on GMP manufacturing equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, fluid handling, pneumatic, and thermal control systems (e.g., pumps, valves, regulators, agitators, piping systems)Support low-voltage electrical and control troubleshooting (no high-voltage work)Execute preventive maintenance activities and respond to equipment issues to support productionDocument maintenance activities accurately in a computerized maintenance management systemSupport GMP requirements through proper documentation and adherence to SOPsCommunicate repair status and equipment conditions clearly with cross-functional teamsQualificationsAssociate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent hands-on experience3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills in process or industrial systemsExperience working in regulated environments (GMP, FDA-regulated, or similar)Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentationWorking knowledge of GMP and good documentation practicesFamiliarity with safety practices such as lockout/tagout and controlled work permitsPreferredExperience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated industriesExposure to automated process equipment and industrial control systemsExperience with CMMS tools (e.g., Blue Mountain RAM, Maximo, SAP)Fabrication, welding, or basic machining experience (helpful but not required)Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork in manufacturing and utility areas with exposure to chemicals, moving equipment, and industrial systemsAbility to stand, climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs with assistanceMay require occasional off-hours, weekend, or on-call support as operations expandShift note: The role will begin on a standard weekday schedule. As production scales over time, this position may transition to a fixed off-shift or include on-call support. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $30.69 - $47.96/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
