Staff Nurse CMH

Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) or Graduate Nurse (GN) protects, promotes and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN or GN is responsible for compliance with the NewYorkState Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN or GN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient‑centered care. Primary Department or Work Location: Emergency Department, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital. Work Shift and Schedule: Per diem; work on an as‑needed, agreed‑upon basis with hours assigned by manager. Compensation Range: $38.77 - $55.00 per hour, depending on experience. This position is not eligible for benefits. Education & Experience Minimum required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting. License & Certification Minimum required: Current NYS RN license or NYS Limited Permit to practice as a GN. Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by the home unit assigned.
