SMV Recruiting is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization on a search for a Machine Technician/Operator to support a highly automated production operation.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on machine operation and maintenance-focused role supporting a highly automated production line. This position is ideal for someone with basic maintenance/mechanical experience who wants to build long-term skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting within a stable, growth-oriented environment.
There is no dedicated on-site maintenance team, so this role plays a critical part in keeping equipment running. You will operate machinery, troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and support machine adjustments and changeovers. This role includes a structured training path and long-term advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor automated production equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on industrial machinery
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on machines and tooling
Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and production standards
Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
Perform routine inspections and document production and quality checks
Use hand tools, measuring tools, and basic electrical testing equipment
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety and PPE requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift experience preferred
Prior experience operating industrial equipment or machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting ability
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and production schedules
Ability to meet physical job requirements, including standing and lifting up to 40 lbs
- $22-24/hr plus full benefits package
