Responsibilities:

• Utilize exception customer service skills to assess car problems and promote services by listening to customer's description of symptoms
• Able to clarify description problems, conduct inspections, check vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedule.
• Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Provide competitive estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, ultimately calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
• Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and service required; obtaining approval signatures; entering the order into service database system.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns.
• Capable of de-escalating customer complaints and prioritizes maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
• Checking on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and relaying communication to customer when technicians discover additional problems
• Responsible for ensuring customer approval to provide additional work and be able to explain the scope of work performed and potential charges

Qualifications

• Two (2) year experience in an automotive dealership position
• General knowledge of vehicles
• Strong verbal, written & electronic communication
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, vendors & manufacturers
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
