UpholstererWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and creating furniture pieces by covering them with fabric, leather, or other materials. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a strong eye for design and detail.Key Responsibilities:Measure and cut fabric or leather to the correct dimensions based on templates or custom requirementsRemove old upholstery and padding from furnitureInspect frames and springs; make necessary repairs or replacementsApply new padding and fabric using hand tools and power toolsSew, glue, staple, or tack fabric to furniture framesEnsure finished pieces meet quality standards and client expectationsCollaborate with designers, clients, and other team members to fulfill custom ordersMaintain inventory of materials and toolsKeep work area clean and organized, adhering to safety guidelinesQualifications:Proven experience as an upholsterer or in a similar furniture production roleKnowledge of upholstery techniques, tools, and materialsSkilled in cutting, sewing, and assembling fabric and paddingAbility to read blueprints, design plans, and measurementsAttention to detail and strong problem-solving abilitiesPhysical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy items during the workdayPreferred:Certification or formal training in upholstery or furniture design (not required but a plus)Experience working with both traditional and modern upholstery methodsWork Environment:Workshop-based role with occasional on-site work depending on projectsMay involve use of loud machinery and exposure to dust or adhesives
