Manager of Software Engineering - Data Analytics

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least five years of applied experience and demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
• Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists
• Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and related IT systems
• Practical cloud-native experience and experience working at code level
• Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools, including setting governance and ways of working, human-in-the-loop validation, quality gates, outcome measurement, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, resiliency and security implications, and control expectations; ability to coach managers and leads and influence leaders on safe scaling practices
• Preferred: Experience with Java Spring Boot, Python, PySpark, MongoDB, Oracle, or Unix
• Preferred: Experience with generative or agentic AI and its use in design and coding

• Guide software engineers on their daily tasks and activities
• Set expectations for team deliverables, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipate dependencies across teams to deliver products and applications that meet business requirements
• Manage stakeholder relationships and team work in line with compliance standards, service-level agreements, and business requirements
• Foster opportunity, inclusion, and respect, while prioritizing diverse representation
• Establish and scale practices for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across teams to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes
• Define measurable expectations, such as throughput, defect reduction, and reliability, and ensure consistent validation, security, resiliency, and reuse of proven patterns
• Use software development life cycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve efficiency and support capacity initiatives, prioritizing reuse of existing firm technology assets
