Work Environment

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work onsite at our hospital facility, which offers a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center, your primary duties will encompass:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities aimed at helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Providing hands-on support in mobility training and functional activities, ensuring patients can perform everyday tasks with greater ease and confidence.
• Observing and monitoring patient progress throughout therapy sessions, and maintaining effective communication with supervising Physical Therapists to adapt treatment strategies as necessary.
• Educating patients about the appropriate use of assistive devices, demonstrating exercises, and explaining self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously in accordance with clinic protocols, ensuring the accuracy of treatment records and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean treatment environment to promote patient comfort and security.
• Collaborating with a diverse clinical team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the multifaceted needs of our patients.
• Engaging with patients and their families to foster an understanding of care plans and treatment expectations, enhancing the overall experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will serve a diverse range of patients including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and sports injuries. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field, demonstrating a strong educational foundation in physical therapy principles.
• Current or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Nevada.
• Proficient understanding of rehabilitation techniques, treatment modalities, and functional movement principles.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and our dedicated clinical team.
• The ability to operate independently while consistently collaborating under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of experience in a clinical setting, with exposure to a variety of patient populations such as orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical cases.

Compensation and Benefits
