Job Description
Reporting to the Nursing Director, this position supports the unit by coordinating communications, performing order entry functions, maintaining files, and providing clerical support.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum Experience/Skills:
- Minimum one (1) year of recent experience as Unit Secretary in similar Emergency Department preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic computer knowledge, such as word processing, spreadsheet
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
- Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association
- Current CPI card Nonviolent Crises Intervention Training (must obtain within 90-day of hire/transfer)
