Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to construct integrated care approaches.
Provide supportive education to patients and families to enhance progress outside the clinical environment.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring a seamless treatment experience.
Keep meticulous and prompt documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations as well as organizational standards.
Commit to staying updated with the latest advances in your field through continuous learning and cooperation with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates not yet ASHA-certified.
Must hold a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed within 30 days of starting employment.
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques across age groups, with a thorough grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Capability to adapt therapeutic methods to meet varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards.
