Work Environment

Your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center located in Jacksonville, Florida. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic technology and resources, designed to support optimal recovery for our patients. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and diagnosing patients' physical conditions through comprehensive evaluations, including functional capacity tests and patient history reviews.
• Developing personalized treatment plans focused on pain relief, rehabilitation, and functional enhancement, adhering to the best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Administering hands-on therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the use of physical agents to optimize patients' recovery.
• Supervising and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment protocols and enhance team performance.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, evaluation reports, and treatment updates to facilitate effective communication among the healthcare team.
• Evaluating and modifying orthotic and prosthetic devices as necessary in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Providing education and counseling to patients and family members about recovery processes, self-management strategies, and injury prevention.
• Participating in case conferences and contributing to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions that affect their mobility and function. You will work closely with a diverse patient population, including athletes, post-operative individuals, and elderly patients, tailoring treatment approaches to meet their varying needs and goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of Florida.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy or a related field.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and fostering a supportive environment.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with experience in specialized rehabilitation techniques, manual therapy, or working with multidisciplinary teams will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be advantageous as it facilitates seamless patient management and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

Top Point Physical Therapy & Wellness offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
