About the Position

Position Overview

A well-established health system in Albany is expanding its cardiology team and seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care. This is a dynamic opportunity offering multiple scheduling models within a collaborative, team-oriented environment across locations in Albany and Troy, NY.

Position Highlights

• Combination of inpatient and outpatient cardiology services

• Multiple employment models available:

  • Weekend rounding only

  • Traditional hospital + clinic schedule

  • Hospital-only, shift-based role

• Outpatient clinic responsibilities (including walk-in clinics 2–3 times per month for traditional model)

• 1:5 weekend call rotation (telephone with occasional in-person coverage)

• Epic EMR system

• Collaborative multidisciplinary cardiology team

• Open to 2026 graduates

• 1099 candidates considered

• Not accepting locums candidates

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality inpatient cardiology consults and hospital rounding

• Deliver outpatient cardiology care and clinic visits

• Manage an average of 20–25 patients per 8-hour clinic day

• Participate in hospital rounding on shared census (50–60 patients across team)

• Maintain accurate documentation within EMR

• Comply with credentialing and institutional policies

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine OR Truly Board Eligible (must obtain board certification within 2 years of hire)

• Fellowship-trained in Cardiology (completed prior to start)

• Active New York medical license (or willing to obtain)

• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications

• DEA registration

• Clean malpractice history

• Candidates with lapsed board certification will not be accepted

Additional Submission Requirements

All of the following are required prior to presentation:

• Board Certification status confirmation

• NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days)

• Confirmation of ability to work at multiple locations (Albany & Troy, NY)

• Disclosure regarding visa requirements

• Confirmation candidate has not applied directly to the health system

• Acknowledgment that credentialing fees are not reimbursed
