Radiation Therapist - Full Time

Role: The Staff Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation in the Radiation Oncology Department, delivering precise therapy according to physician prescriptions. They operate radiation equipment safely, perform complex procedures, and participate in quality control measures. Responsibilities Assess patients and perform treatment procedures tailored to age groups. Document all activities accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Educate patients and families on treatment side effects and safety measures. Simulate new or modified treatment fields with accuracy. Ensure patient safety, manage mobility, and follow radiation safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance, on‑call rotations, and mentorship of students. Report adverse reactions and maintain compliance with policies and safety standards. Qualifications Associates degree or accredited program completion. ARRT‑T (Radiation Therapy) certification and BLS certification required. Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred. Skills in patient treatment and simulation.
