Job Description

• Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess each patient's unique needs and design individualized therapy strategies aimed at reaching their functional aspirations
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based interventions to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities
• Collaborate with Health Professionals: Partner effectively with physical therapists, speech therapists, doctors, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Educate Patients and Families: Train patients and caregivers in therapeutic techniques to facilitate healing and progress beyond the clinic setting
• Review and Record Progress: Monitor patient development and modify treatment plans as necessary to keep the trajectory on course

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Ongoing education or advanced certifications are encouraged and supported

Certifications

• Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
• Required certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
