Role Description The Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including maintaining accurate employee records, verifying timesheets, and ensuring timely and correct payments. Day-to-day tasks include calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, managing garnishments, and coordinating with payroll service providers when needed. The Payroll Specialist will prepare and reconcile payroll reports, handle payroll tax submissions, respond to employee payroll inquiries, and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position also collaborates with HR and finance to improve payroll workflows and support audits and reporting requirements.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration, including maintaining accurate records and managing full-cycle payroll.
- Candidates should possess experience in Payroll Taxes and Payroll Services, including tax reporting, filings, and working with external payroll platforms or vendors.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Garnishments, including calculating and processing court-ordered deductions in compliance with applicable laws.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with payroll or HRIS software, Microsoft Excel, and basic accounting or bookkeeping principles.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, confidentiality in handling sensitive data, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site, manage deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams; prior experience in a payroll or finance role and a relevant associate or bachelor’s degree are beneficial.
