• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of specimen collection and processing activities.
• Perform specimen processing and handling duties both in clinical and forensic contexts, adhering to established practices.
• Ensure the safety of the environment and follow confidentiality guidelines to protect patient information.
• Assist with maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for phlebotomy procedures.
• Support process improvement initiatives to promote operational excellence within the laboratory team.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills in a healthcare or retail setting.
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.
• Ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime based on staffing needs.
