Head Start Teacher Floater - Gloucester

Location  – Gloucester, MA 2 positions available!

Position 1: this position is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Scheduled hours and weeks are based on need and subject to change.

Position 2: this position is scheduled for 30 hours per week, 42 weeks per year. Scheduled hours and weeks are based on need and subject to change.

Rate:  $19.50-$25.00 based on education and experience

We are currently seeking a Head Start Preschool Teacher Floater who is enthusiastic, nurturing, and committed to supporting the development of young children. The ideal candidate brings a experience in childhood education and a willingness to provided engaging and supportive classroom environments.

What will you do?

• Ability to respond with flexibility to changing work assignments
• Respect and maintain confidentiality
• Provide appropriate supervision of children to ensure a healthy, safe and clean learning environment
• Ability to respond to direction from appropriate supervisory staff
• Ability to implement activities in the classroom
• Implement positive guidance strategies consistent with Head Start Behavior Management Plan and practices in conjunction with any outlined in a child’s IEP or Head Start Early Support Behavior Plan
• Attend required meetings and participate in training opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth
• Performs other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management staff
• Acts as a mandated reporter

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A HEAD START TEACHER FLOATER?

Minimum: High School Diploma, with a professional career development plan to obtain EEC Teacher Certification or CDA Certification within 2 years.

Preferred: CDA, Associates Degree in ECE or equivalent
