Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and credentials (Certificate of Clinical Competence - CCC required)
- Demonstrated experience working as an SLP in a school environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Strong collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Effective communicator, capable of documenting progress and participating in IEP meetings
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication needs using standardized tools and district protocols
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation outcomes
- Deliver therapy services in individual or group settings within the school environment
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to staff and guardians
- Participate in IEP/504 plan meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
- Consult and coordinate with educators, school staff, and parents to foster student growth
- Organize and lead in-service training as needed for staff and community awareness
