About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical – Iowa

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; every other weekend and every other holiday required

Highlights:

• Multi-specialty medical-surgical experience across diverse patient populations including orthopedics, neurology step-down, oncology, and surgical telemetry
• Float pool position providing exposure to varied clinical settings and skill development opportunities
• Floating required to multiple med-surg units within the facility and to a campus location approximately 9.5 miles away
• 24-hour needs-based orientation requirement waived for qualified candidates
• Night shift schedule with structured weekend and holiday rotation
• Long-term contract opportunity starting November 2026

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state license
• Medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability and willingness to float across multiple specialties including orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and telemetry units
• Flexibility to work at multiple campus locations within the metro area
• Current BLS certification required
