Accounting Manager

Vaco is hiring an Accounting Manager Location: Tamarac (role is onsite) Compensation: $105 - $130/annually Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day accounting activities such as AP, AR, and Taxes Assist Controller with management of month-end and year-end closing process Reconcile Balance sheet accounts on monthly basis Manage collection activities such as negotiating with past due accounts, bankruptcies, etc. Responsible for cash forecasting Ensure Expense reports are submitted timely and accurately Approve vouchers for payment, manage the terms and the prompt pay discounts Handle all aspects of banking Compile various reporting packages for the management Calculate monthly and quarterly sales and use tax and file returns Assist and coordinate efforts with year-end audit Mentor, supervise and train Accounting staff Maintain and document internal control processes & procedures Comply with federal, state, and local requirements Adhere to accounting guidelines and mindful of new guidance Other duties as assigned Qualifications Accounting - Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, reporting and research skills. Education and Formal Training 4-year Degree required, with a concentration in Business, Accounting or Finance Experience 5+ yrs. of Accounting experience CPA preferred 5+ yrs. of Management experience preferred SAP ECC experience required Advanced skills in MS Excel Required ERP setup and IT infrastructure knowledge preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
