Accounting Manager JOB SUMMARY Cherrylake is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance/Accounting Manager to join our growing organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader servicing operations in agriculture, construction and manufacturing with an employee base of over 500 comprising year‑round and seasonal staff. The Accounting Manager will manage the day to day accounting operations including leading a team of accounting specialists, supporting operations and using good judgment and discretion in applying accounting principles. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Leverage technology to develop control reports; allow for more efficiencies and better accuracy. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, leadership, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and cross‑function collaboration. Trains and develops an accounting team to ensure and maintain the required level of professional competence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Serve as a finance partner to divisional leadership, providing insights on performance, risks, and opportunities. Support development of financial acumen across operational leaders. Oversee daily accounting activities including AP, AR, Payroll, Fixed Assets and General Ledger. Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting team members. Perform month‑end closing process for Cherrylake and IMGE including cost allocations. Review and approve bi‑weekly payroll prepared by the Payroll Specialist. Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, commission calculations, and sales tax submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage and analyze variances. Identify coding issues and work with departments to correct and resolve. Review and ensure all NTO’s, liens and lien releases are filed timely and appropriately in accordance with Florida lien laws. Collaborate with the Director of Sales to manage credit risk of new and existing customers. Collaborate with Senior Leadership to establish & maintain accounting policies and procedures, aligned with the company's targets. Prepare for and assist in year‑end financial audit. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration). 3+ years of related experience. Strategic thinker, highly collaborative, and focused on continual process improvement. Excellent management, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and non‑accounting professionals. Knowledge of ADP or Payroll software. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with PowerBI or similar tools preferred. HOURS OF WORK This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This job operates in a professional office environment.
