Director of Accounting

Our Healthcare client is seeking a Director of Accounting. This is a large multi-entity publicly traded company, with excellent growth opportunities! Director of Accounting Responsibilities Lead accounting operations related to partnership accounting, including allocations, equity accounting, capital accounts, distributions, and related reporting. Oversee accounting for a multi-entity, global organization, ensuring accurate consolidation and intercompany activity across domestic and international operations. Direct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Review and analyze account reconciliations, journal entries, flux analyses, and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control standards applicable to publicly traded companies. Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Operations to support strategic initiatives and business decisions. Review and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support scalability and accuracy. Oversee preparation for audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties as needed. Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, foreign currency impacts, and consolidation adjustments. Lead and mentor accounting managers and staff, promoting accountability, development, and high performance. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve systems, and enhance reporting efficiency. Support technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards or complex transactions. Director of Accounting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience in a complex, multi-entity environment. Strong experience with partnership accounting and related equity, allocation, and consolidation structures. Background in a publicly traded company or other highly regulated reporting environment strongly preferred. Proven experience managing accounting for global entities and cross-border operations. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements. Experience with SEC reporting, external audits, and technical accounting matters preferred.Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, foreign currency, consolidations, and multi-currency operations. Demonstrated ability to lead close processes and improve accounting efficiency. Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
