Maintenance Technician II – Electrical / PLC

East Peoria, IL (KK)

Pay: $25–$31/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: AWS Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12-Hour Shifts)
Full-Time | Overtime Available

We're looking for a Maintenance Technician II who can safely repair, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment while supporting a fast-paced production environment.

Keep Production Running

Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment
Assist with diagnosing PLC-controlled equipment and electrical issues
Work with motors, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control components
Read and interpret electrical schematics and basic ladder logic
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize downtime
Complete work orders and document repairs in the CMMS system
Assist with equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects

Requirements:

What You Need

3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems
Basic to intermediate PLC troubleshooting experience
Ability to read electrical schematics
Experience with motors, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and automation equipment
Manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance experience
Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safe work practices

Preferred Experience

Exposure to Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms
Experience working with HMIs
Familiarity with industrial controls and automation
Experience using a CMMS
Willingness to learn and grow your technical skills
