The Global Manager - Performance & Value Intelligence leads Caterpillar's global capability for connecting customer business outcomes, operational performance, safety performance and delivery economics to fact-based decisions across the technology lifecycle. This is a leader-of-leaders role with global scope and accountability for the standards, analytics, governance and operating mechanisms that establish value expectations, monitor performance and demonstrate whether the customer business case is being achieved.

In this role, you will integrate three connected disciplines: Value Engineering, Performance Intelligence and Performance Monitoring. You will build enabling frameworks once, support on-demand execution triggered by customer engagements, and establish recurring performance intelligence support on a defined cadence. You will also connect safety and performance monitoring to value realization decisions while keeping safety and production performance distinct.

You will partner with regional Customer Value Enablement teams, Commercial, engineering, autonomous operations, Digital Support Solutions, finance and other global functions to translate data into decisions that help customers reach and sustain the business case.

What You Will Do

• Own the global Performance & Value Intelligence operating model , including standards, methods, governance, definitions and advanced analytics roadmaps.
• Own value baselines and business cases through value engineering, value simulation, global benchmarking and domain expertise that support Commercial and customer decision-making.
• Lead the performance intelligence framework , standard reports, benchmarking including, what-if simulation capabilities, and gap analysis.
• Lead performance monitoring capabilities that provide short-interval control, decision support and domain expertise to on-site teams.
• Integrate Driver Safety System (DSS) safety advisory and monitoring-center insights , including live safety intelligence, advisor coverage and escalation, while building an integrated production performance monitoring system.
• Be accountable for value realization governance through recurring reviews to ensure the customer business case is being achieved.
• Define global KPIs, data quality expectations and decision rights , and ensure performance insights are trusted, comparable and actionable across regions and customer sites.
• Partner with regional leaders to prioritize demand, deploy specialist support, close capability gaps and transfer lessons learned into repeatable global standards.
• Lead, coach and develop managers, leads and specialists across value engineering, performance intelligence and performance monitoring, with a strong focus on succession and capability building.
• Represent Performance & Value Intelligence in enterprise, cross-functional and senior leadership forums, including executive-level customer engagements focused on value realization and performance.

• Global accountability for the Performance & Value Intelligence capability across customer engagements and the technology lifecycle.
• Leadership of the disciplines and teams supporting Value Engineering, Performance Intelligence and Performance Monitoring, with connected governance for safety monitoring and cost-to-serve intelligence.
• Ownership of globally consistent frameworks, benchmarks, reporting standards, analytics and review mechanisms used by regional and customer-facing teams.
• Significant executive-level customer and enterprise exposure, influencing value commitments, operational decisions, service economics and long-term customer outcomes.

What Skills Will You Bring?

Technical Excellence: Experience with autonomous, digital or connected industrial technology and the data, workflows and operating conditions required to monitor performance across complex customer environments.

Relationship Management: Extensive experience building trusted relationships with customer executives, dealer leadership, regional delivery teams and global cross-functional partners. Proven ability to align stakeholders across functions, regions and cultures. Demonstrated success leading global, multidisciplinary teams and leaders across analytics, operational performance, value engineering or technology services. Ability to establish a clear operating model, build capability and drive consistent execution across regions and customer environments.

Customer Focus: Proven ability to use the customer business case as the definition of success, connect technology performance to customer outcomes and turn insights into actions that improve value realization.

Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose complex operational, analytical and economic challenges, identify root causes and implement scalable solutions that improve performance and value realization. Advanced analytical capability with experience integrating operational, safety, financial, service and customer data; establishing data quality and KPI standards; and using evidence to support decisions.

Consulting: Strong ability to create value baselines, evaluate operational and financial drivers, apply benchmarking and simulation, and communicate the conditions required to achieve and sustain a business case. Experience designing analytics frameworks , standard reporting, benchmarking, gap analysis and decision-support mechanisms that convert operational data into clear priorities and actions. Understanding of short-interval control, operating rhythms and domain support required to improve safety and production performance at shift, day and lifecycle levels.

Service Excellence: Demonstrated success establishing recurring value reviews, performance governance, service definitions and escalation mechanisms that improve accountability, consistency and customer outcomes.

Effective Communications: Strong executive presence with the ability to explain business value, analytical findings, performance gaps and recommended actions to audiences ranging from site leadership to customer and enterprise executives. Ability to connect delivery and service demand to cost drivers, capacity requirements and scale economics, and to use those insights to improve service design and long-term profitability.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Data/Analytics, Business, Finance or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Advanced experience leading value engineering, performance analytics, operational intelligence or value realization for mining, industrial or technology solutions.
• Experience defining mining operations technology business cases, value baselines, benchmarks, simulations and recurring value realization reviews.
• Experience with MineStar or similar large-scale industrial or mining technology solutions.
• Experience with safety and production performance monitoring, including clear governance and escalation paths.
• Demonstrated ability to build global centers of excellence, scale specialist capabilities and standardize execution while supporting regional needs.
• Experience operating across remote, site-based and customer-embedded operating models.

Additional Information

This position requires the candidate to work full-time in the Phoenix or Tucson, AZ office.

Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position will require up to 50% travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$159,120.00 - $238,680.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
