Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is required within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:

An interview may not be given prior to an offer being made.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Credentials: RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Telemetry and ostomy experience preferred. Previous Charge Experience: Preferred

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. The Surgical / Oncology unit cares for a variety of patients including those with urological, gynecological, colorectal, ortho, breast, head and neck, liver, and pancreatic diseases. Nurses provide complex wound care, ostomy care, and tracheotomy care and make patient education a priority for both the patient and their caregivers for discharge.

Shift & Scheduling: Day shift 7:00-19:30; night shift 19:00-7:30. Day/night rotation; will not rotate in the same week but possible to rotate in a 4 week schedule period. 10 weekend shifts per contract.

Floating Requirements: Ability to float to other UCSF campuses, including Parnassus and Mt. Zion.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
