Founding Operator (Mobena's Third Employee)

Company Description Mobena is a specialized platform that unifies income tax, estate, and financial planning for individuals, entities, and families across generations. It enables family offices, CPAs, estate attorneys, and financial advisors to work from a single, detailed model of a client’s financial and tax reality. The platform handles complex structures such as multistate holdings, private equity, trusts, and advanced estate planning techniques on a fully after-tax basis. Mobena was founded by a leading tax authority and Bloomberg Tax Author of the Year to address sophisticated planning needs previously managed with fragmented tools. The company now brings this capability to professionals who want to help clients clearly visualize their world after tax.

Role Description

Mobena is hiring its third employee. This is a founding role.

Mobena is the only planning platform that integrates income tax, estate, and financial planning — for every person, every entity, across generations. We were built by the 2023 Bloomberg Tax Author of the Year for his own clients. We serve family offices, CPAs, estate attorneys, and RIAs working with the most complex families in America.

We're past zero-to-one. The product works. Multiple billionaire families are testing it. Major banks are in second meetings. Now we have to build the company around it.

That's where you come in.

What you'll actually do:

Everything the CEO and CTO don't do. You'll have your hands in all of it — and take full ownership of several areas from the below group:

• Build out sales — pipeline, process, eventually a team

• Stand up customer onboarding and customer success

• Develop organizational policies and procedures from scratch

• Recruit and hire the next wave of talent

• Own social and brand presence

• Contribute to product direction and new features

• Help refine the business model

• Manage external vendors and partners

The specific areas you own first will depend on where the need is biggest and where your skills are sharpest. As the company grows, what you own will grow with it.

Compensation

Competitive base ($160K–$200K) + meaningful founding equity (1–2%). Fully remote.

Mobena is founder-funded — and we don't expect significant dilution. The equity you get is real, and it stays that way.
