Quality Engineer

An innovative aerospace technology company developing next-generation communication systems for space and airborne platforms is seeking a Quality Engineer to support its growing production and supplier operations. This organization designs and manufactures high-performance, mission-critical hardware used in demanding environments. The team operates within a structured AS9100-compliant quality management system while maintaining the agility of a scaling technology company. The Role As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), driving supplier quality performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and engineering functions. You will work closely with Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure product integrity, compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Establish, implement, and maintain QMS procedures and processes Resolve internal and external nonconformances using root cause analysis, corrective action, and 8D methodologies Conduct supplier performance evaluations, audits, and metrics reporting Investigate and manage supplier nonconformances and corrective actions Maintain and oversee calibration programs, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external providers Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance Develop, monitor, and report on measurable quality objectives and KPIs Deliver QMS training across functional teams Support internal and external audits in accordance with AS9100 and ISO requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field 2+ years of relevant quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with continuous improvement initiatives Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and process discipline Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Experience Aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing experience Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification Why Join?
