Software Quality Engineer

Job Title: Software Quality Engineer Job ID: 115154 Position Type: Full Time Location: Austin, TX Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end System Quality Engineering (QE) including functional, integration, and system testing. Execute manual test cases for complex systems, ensuring complete coverage and defect identification. Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts for test validation wherever applicable. Collaborate with development, product, and cross‑functional teams for requirement analysis and test strategy design . Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports . Identify, log, track, and verify defects using standard defect management tools. Participate in system‑level validation , performance validation (as applicable), and regression testing. Continuously improve test processes, frameworks, and methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience in Python programming (automation or scripting) . Hands‑on experience in Manual Testing / System QE / End‑to‑End Validation . Understanding of software testing methodologies (STLC, defect lifecycle, test design techniques). Exposure to system‑level testing (not just UI or API). Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios . Good debugging and analytical skills. Preferred Skills Experience with test automation frameworks (PyTest / Robot Framework / similar) . Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments . Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing. Experience in API testing and tools like Postman . Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies . Pay and Benefits Pay Range Minimum: $59000/Year Pay Range Maximum: $99000/Year Compensation and Benefits A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to company policies.
