About the Role

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to lead and develop its US Legal and Compliance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing both hands-on and strategic legal counsel to the company's President, senior leadership team, and business stakeholders. This role is pivotal in ensuring a strong culture of compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, overseeing corporate governance matters, and managing a small legal and compliance team. The General Counsel will also be tasked with managing outside counsel on complex issues, advising on risk management strategies, and collaborating with various departments to support business objectives while mitigating legal risks. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a US law degree, be admitted to the bar, and possess extensive knowledge of corporate law, compliance, and risk management, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector. The role requires the ability to provide strategic legal advice, strong leadership, and team management experience, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The General Counsel will also be expected to mentor and develop the legal team to ensure alignment with the organization's goals.
