If this sounds like you and you’re ready to be a star performer in the Las Vegas entertainment industry, apply today!WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Assist in preparation of tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reportsAssess and research accounting issues to identify solutionsAnalyze transactions and prepare financial reportsCompile accounting reports for daily operationsEnsure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authoritiesOffer support and guidance during auditsPerform account/ledger reconciliations and oversee/manage accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functionsKeep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes and accounting proceduresPrepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reportsEstablish accounting policies and proceduresOffer support and guidance to the accounting teamBalance financial records and check for inaccuraciesPerform other accounting related duties and tasks assignedWHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial proceduresStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential informationOutstanding time-management and prioritization abilitiesWork well individually and as a teamWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks desktopEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferredMinimum of 3 years of proven experience as a staff accountant required3+ years of experience using QuickBooks desktop required3+ years of experience using ExcelProven experience preparing corporate tax returns and financial reportsKnowledge of Paycom is a plusESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:Work environment: In-person office settingMust be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours a dayMay be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephoneLight to moderate lifting may be required, up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required due to viewing computer terminals and company dataReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsThis job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify major responsibilities, skills and requirements of the job.
