We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience working with diesel engines, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical issues.
Pay: Depending on Experience
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Repair or replace engine components, fuel systems, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify needed repairs or maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Requirements
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or diesel technician preferred
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and repair tools
- Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with heavy equipment, trucks, or fleet vehicles
- Technical or trade school certification in diesel mechanics
